NCL coffee mornings raise £1.6k for Macmillan

Culinary Arts Department has raised £1,681.55 for Macmillan Cancer Support through coffee mornings held across the college’s Motherwell and Cumbernauld campuses.

The department’s staff and students ran the events in Taste and ML One at Motherwell and in the Cumbernauld Refectory, serving staff, students and visitors who came along to donate.

The Culinary Arts Department hosts the coffee mornings every year and donates all proceeds to the charity, with this year’s total combining the money raised at both campuses.

The funds will help Macmillan to continue providing advice, care and support to people and families affected by cancer, in local communities and beyond.

Darren Pettigrew, Head of Department for Culinary Arts, said: "Every donation, whatever the size, will help Macmillan to keep supporting those who need it most. I want to thank everyone involved: our team, our students and all our visitors.”
